ButterShots Light

Ingredients

Also known as ButterShots, this liqueur is delicious by itself, but some prefer it in tea, coffee or hot chocolate. 

 1 cup water 

3/4 cup sugar 

1 1/2 cups 100-proof vodka 

1 1/2 teaspoons All Star Extracts brand Butterscotch Extract 

½ tsp All Star Extracts Glycerine 

 10 drops yellow food coloring (optional)

Cooking Instructions

Combine sugar and water in medium heavy saucepan over medium high heat. 

Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

 Lower heat and simmer 5 minutes. 

Remove from heat and cool thoroughly. 

Stir in Butterscotch extract, glycerine and vodka. Add food coloring if desired. 

 Pour into a clean glass bottle with tight fitting lid and store in a cool, dry place.

 Makes:  About 3 cups Can be served immediately, but the alcohol and sugar will combine and get smoother over the next 2 - 3 weeks or so.
