<p>Simple syrup is used in creating cocktails and is typically a 1:1 ratio of sugar and water. </p><p>Some recipes may require a 2:1 sugar to water ratio or 1:2 sugar to water ratio. </p><p> Add sugar in the correct ratio to the water. </p><p>Heat the water enough for the sugar to dissolve completely.</p><p> You may bring it boiling but it's unnecessary to Cool before storing in a sealed container. </p><p>Refrigerate until ready to use. It will keep for many months if your container was good and clean.
