Ingredients

2 cups vodka (100 proof)&nbsp;<p>2/3 cups sugar&nbsp;</p><p>1/3 cup water&nbsp;</p><p>1 1/2 tsp <a href="http://allstarextracts.com/Black-Walnut-Flavor" target="_blank">All Star Extracts brand Black Walnut Extract</a>.

Cooking Instructions

Combine sugar and water in medium heavy saucepan over medium high heat.<p>&nbsp;Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.</p><p>&nbsp;Lower heat and simmer 5 minutes.</p><p>&nbsp;Remove from heat and cool thoroughly.&nbsp;</p><p>Stir in Black Walnut extract and vodka.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;Pour into a clean glass bottle with tight fitting lid and store in a cool, dry place.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;Makes:&nbsp; About 2.5 cups

Can be served immediately, but the alcohol and sugar will combine and get smoother over the next 2 - 3 weeks or so.

Some people like their liqueurs a little less sweet. To compensate for the reduction in sugar, glycerine is added to give the liqueur the smoothness expected. Glycerine is a natural sugar that won’t affect the taste of your liqueur.
