Ingredients
Also known as ButterShots, this liqueur is delicious by itself, but some prefer it in tea, coffee or hot chocolate. <p> 1 cup water </p><p>3/4 cup sugar </p><p>1 1/2 cups 100-proof vodka </p><p>1 1/2 teaspoons <a href="http://allstarextracts.com/Butterscotch-Flavor" target="_blank">All Star Extracts brand Butterscotch Extract</a> </p><p>½ tsp <a href="http://allstarextracts.com/Glycerine" target="_blank">All Star Extracts Glycerine</a> </p><p> 10 drops yellow food coloring (optional)</p>
Cooking Instructions
<p>Combine sugar and water in medium heavy saucepan over medium high heat. </p><p>Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.</p><p> Lower heat and simmer 5 minutes. </p><p>Remove from heat and cool thoroughly. </p><p>Stir in Butterscotch extract, glycerine and vodka.
Add food coloring if desired. </p><p> Pour into a clean glass bottle with tight fitting lid and store in a cool, dry place.</p><p> Makes: About 3 cups
Can be served immediately, but the alcohol and sugar will combine and get smoother over the next 2 - 3 weeks or so.
